Dawntreader Pyrotechnics takes very seriously its responsibility for helping to make the art and craft of amateur pyrotechnics available for all persons of good will and intent. DPS supports the safe, sane, and lawful enjoyment of fireworks, which have enchanted the human mind and soul down through the centuries. DPS does not condone the violation of any law, and will not participate in any activity not consistent with the law and good common sense. Please don't ask.

Your adventure into amateur pyrotechnics can be an enjoyable experience and a rewarding hobby. By its very nature, however, it possesses some aspects, which can be profoundly dangerous to the inexperienced. If you are new to this field of applied chemistry, you must learn some fundamental concepts before beginning any actual physical construction of fireworks pieces. Follow the literature links provided on the links page to obtain introductory books on the subject. You would also be well advised to subscribe to American Fireworks News and consider joining Pyrotechnics Guild International (PGI) to make contact with the pyrotechnic community at large as both an educational resource and a gateway to some fabulous entertainment and rewarding camaraderie among the delightful brother/sisterhood of enthusiasts that has sprung up around this singular avocation.

Dawntreader Pyrotechnic is set up as a resource for hobbyists with lawful intent. We do not sell explosives or fireworks of any kind, nor do we sell any materials which are controlled under 18 USC and require special licenses. Though it is perfectly legal in most areas to build consumer class fireworks as long as you are not storing them, please note that there are stringent laws, Federal, State, and Local that govern possession and manufacture of explosives, especially large firecrackers like M-80's, silver salutes, cherry bombs, etc., which are federally banned devices. If your intent is the construction of explosive devices, THIS SITE IS NOT FOR YOU. It only takes a few bad actors to ruin things for everyone. If we have any reason to suspect that you either lack sufficient knowledge of pyrotechnics, or are attempting to purchase supplies for the construction of illegal devices, we reserve the right to refuse your order - and refuse we will; count on it.

Regular members of pyrotechnic associations, fireworks professionals, educational institutions, and hobbyists with lawful intent are welcome and Dawntreader Pyrotechnic will work with you in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner to help you with your needs. Information about federal laws governing the manufacture, storage, sale, and distribution of explosive materials and fireworks may be obtained from the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms website.

You are at least 21 years of age.

You are familiar with the nature, including hazardous properties, of any materials ordered.

You will observe proper safety protocol, including use of protective clothing & equipment, in the use, storage, or disposal of the materials you have ordered.

You will observe and obey all laws; federal, state, and local, pertaining to the use, storage, or disposal of the materials you have ordered.

You will hold the individuals doing business as Dawntreader Pyrotechnic Specialties and all of their employees and assistants, their hiers and assigns, harmless for any claims, alleged or proven, arising from the sale, use, or misuse of the materials you have ordered.

You have read, understood, and agreed to the foregoing rules, without reservation or exception.

1^ST TIME BUYERS: YOU MUST SUBMIT A WRITTEN ORDER ON OUR FORM, SIGNED-IN-INK, ACKNOWLEDGING AND ACCEPTING THE ABOVE CONDITIONS, BY MAIL ALONG WITH A PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR DRIVER'S LICENSE.
